"What usually happens is you stop thinking: you write; you read; you write; you become less and less self-conscious. Everyone is in the same boat, and because no comments are made, you feel freer and freer to write anything you want." - Natalie Goldberg

Before I can get to the place of even attempting to write a piece, I usually need to purge my thoughts onto paper. It is only in dumping out all the things I *think* I want to write about that I end up discovering the hidden gem -- that thing that is so clearly alive and wanting to be crafted into poetry or prose.
You are invited to join our first ever Shitty First Draft writing circle. It will include timed writing intervals, optional writing prompts, and time to share our writing without comment. What will emerge as you hear your thoughts in your own voice in a shared space free of judgment? Let's find out together.
Open to all ages, styles, and types of experience. If you'd like to write, come write! Please register to reserve your spot. $20 or PWYC.
